About

Hello!

I’m Mandi. Welcome to my website hub. Who I am and what I value:

Work/Life Balance

Balancing work with life is very important to me. As someone who works virtually, I find it very gratifying to know that my services help clients to achieve a better work/life balance.

I live in the Niagara Region of Canada in the city of St. Catharines, about an hour and a half from Toronto.  I still visit Toronto often to visit family and friends and to go out swing dancing. More specifically, I’m a lindy hopper with a passion for jazz music. You can read my dance background here.

I’m married with 2 birds; my lovebird and Quaker parrot keep me company all day at my home office. Spending quality time with my husband during the evenings and on weekends is something that I value very highly.

My husband and I love to travel together and we try to take 1-2 solid vacations every year.

Now the Professional Side…

I’ve been an entrepreneur since 1999 with extensive project management experience. My portfolio ranges from work in the arts, to food and beverage, to administration, and executive recruitment. In the past I’ve created, successfully operated, and sold two businesses.

I’ve also acted as the direct Project Coordinator to the Country Leader of Canada in a large corporate office. Most recently,

I was the overall organizer of a wildly successful $800K event in New York City with a team of more than 2 dozen staff reporting to me and over 2000 people in attendance. I’m a highly effective individual.

After working on my own projects for many years, I launched Barker Social Marketing, social media marketing, content creation, and ghost blogging services.
